The behind the scenes of the first porn video shown in a tennis tournament
CÓRDOBA – It was the viral video of the week in the tennis world: a porn video was shown on the giant screen outside the center court of the Polo Deportivo Mario Kempes in Córdoba, in the middle of the final phase of the ATP 250’s qualy. Journalist Nacho Castellano recorded it this Sunday with his cell phone’s camera.
What happened?
The screen shows the action of the center court through a closed circuit television. As the decisive matches of the Davis Cup series between Argentina and Kazakhstan were being played in Rosario that day, the fans present in the event asked for those matches to be shown, so the organization decided to connect to a decoder.

In that action, someone unidentified hacked the system and passed the images of an adult video, which lasted less than a minute. The rarity of the event caused the few people around to stare. Luckily the prank happened on Sunday before the main draw started, without the presence of too many children. Had it been during the quarterfinals or semis, perhaps it would have had a different impact.
The Cordoba Open especially wanted more families to come to the tournament this year. That is why the tickets are one of the cheapest on tour: with 3000 Argentine pesos (3 USD) you can enter the first tournament of the Latin American clay swing.
The episode remained as an anecdote.
